I follow your page on Facebook and I would like if you could help me.
Currently I have a Chroma 301 chef's knive and some cheap portuguese pairing knives plus a cheap bird's beak from Victorinox that I believe it's good for the price. I'm looking to get a new set of knives and I'm not too keen of continue with the Chroma because it just doesn't feel "right" in some way.
Since I'm in Portugal and it's impossible to buy knives from outside the european union due to custom taxes being outrageous, I'm looking at european brands like Fallkniven (http://www.fallkniven.com/en/shop/detai ... -knives/k1
) or Guede Solingen (http://guede-solingen.de/en/knife-series/alpha-olive
). To be honest about the prices I'm still trying to figure out how much I can get the Fallkniven for, but a Guede Solingen chef's knive would cost me around 100$.
The other option would be going for the KAI Shun Tim Malzer which I can get for around 140$.
I understand that you won't gain anything for wasting your time helping me but I would appriciate if you could give me some tips and help find the best option available to me. If you wish to tell me any other brand easy to get in europe that you find that might be a better option I would very much like to hear it.
Thanks for your time and help,
