So I did a "You know you're a Chef when..." that went over really well. How bout everyone builds this new one togther.?! :P

You know you're a knife nut when...

;) ...you're driving down the road and in your periphery you spy a red neon sign that grabs your attention as you could swear it says "MASAKAGE" - only to see it says, "MASSAGE."

 ...you derive silent pleasure when your girlfriend - whom always wants you to "touch-up the knives at home so they're sharp" - breaks the morning silence from ITK with a, "PHUCK, PHUCK, PHUCK... OWWWWW! GOD DAMN YOU BABY, THESE KNIVES ARE ALWAYS SO PHUCKIN SHARP!"

8-) ...when you're sharpening in a common area, you draw a crowd of people who watch & chuckle among themselves speaking things softly that they think you can't hear like, "he's phuckin crazy," & "look at how into it he gets."

 ...when there is unspoken law ITK that you NEVER dare touch Chef's knives... NEVER.. EVER!

:? ...you're body is simply shutting down experiencing cognitive impairment from putting in 234 hours & 11 minutes over 16 days ITK, but you still find yourself back @CKTG studying current stock & profile photos, engaging statistical analysis of knives you've reviewed 10x before, commenting at the forum, etc. on your first day off in weeks.

When you get that dazed look from someone who shows you a new knife to see what you think and you start listing the metallurgic composition from heart

When you verbally assault friends and relatives for using shitty electric sharpeners, scraping the edge of their knife against the edge of the board/pots, dropping their knives in the sink etc.

When you roll your eyes at your relatives who send their Shun back to the "factory" so they can sharpen it. Cause, " they know what they're doing." ( they put a nice belt sander edge on them, FYI.)

When you try to find every last knife in the house to sharpen.

When you take out a bank loan for more knives.

When you cry from cutting food on polyethylene cutting boards.

When you have an insurance policy to cover your knives.

When the best news you've heard all week is a "back in stock" email from CKTG.

When the only thing that will satisfy that urge is to spend money at CKTG, and that only get's rid of it for a short time.

When your right arm looks like a hairy gorilla and your left arm looks like a baby's bottom.

When your friend test your knife on their thumbnail ... and it cuts clean though and draws blood.
