The Richmond Laser Aogami has been a big hit. Recently my supplier asked me if I wanted to get them engraved with Kanji instead of my current logo. Which would you prefer? The knife is made in Japan and the handle is made by our guy Isaiah. I know there are customers that prefer Kanji on the knife and I really don't care one way or the other. It would save us a little time and work if they did them since the we send them to lamson to engrave our current logo which is extra shipping and time.

Let me know your preference. Thanks!

Just curious, if it is in Kanji, what will it say?

I would vote for current logo. Other than just being different, I think current brand and logo should be nurtured and supported to protect its value. Many of us would buy a knife because it is a Richmond knife, with your reputation and passion standing behind it. If it is in Kanji, new buyer might find it confusing.

+6 kanji.....Just because it looks cool. And it is still a Richmond backed by CKTG and it's reputation even if it doesn't have the logo, and that is what is important.

I think makers Kanji on one side. Richmond Logo on the other. Gives love to the maker while still having the Richmond name.

Perhaps Mark could see if the maker would engrave traditional Kanji on one side and use the chisel to engrave some simple version of the Richmond logo on the other side. Maybe an "R" with the wedge knife blade component next to, or under the "R". This would save Mark from sending them to Lamson as another step on the process.
