Thanks guys. on the other hand if I were to vet a natural stone that is also around 4k grit. Or 2k+, do you have any recommendations that won't cost more than $100 ? I love the idea that you can get a finer and finer grit the longer you sharpen

Thanks guys for your replies. The thing about natural stones that still interest me is that the grit of the slurry increases the more you work on it. (please correct me if i'm wrong), and I'm wondering if you have any recommendations that start around 3k that doesn't break the bank?
