What about the goko?

http://www.chefknivestogo.com/gona16.html

Or would it make a difference to spend just a little more to get the Kikuichi?

http://www.chefknivestogo.com/kielwana17.html

Don't mean to be a pain, but didn't see the Goko and I would rather be sure than to regret it later.

Thanks again,
Gary II

The Goko I saw was a great looking knife. I'd get it over the Kikuichi based on that, but I've not seen either of their nakiri's. But I'd still take the Tanaka over either of those. :)

Yes sir, price to performance.. get the Goko. I'm actually excited to see what other people think of these Goko knives. Hell of a blade for the price, and really good White #1 to boot. The one I got takes a stupid edge, it's awesome.

So, Shaun you would go with the Goko over the Tanaka? Or were you just saying between those two?

I Appreciate everyone's patience with all my questions. Really, I do!

Honestly, I almost couldn't tell you which one I'd pick of the 3.

If I were in a pro kitchen only, then Kikuichi. If other, or you don't mind reactivity, then Tanaka, then Goko.

I know were are splitting hairs here, all 3 knives are great, so if any of the 3 entertain you then know you are getting something good.

You guys are a great help. I really appreciate all the honest and most important reliable information.

I really had a hard time with this one. My wife thinks I am OCD over everything I buy, lol.
Also, I left out one important detail my daughter (13) cooks with me a lot. I thought she could handle a carbon, but maybe not, lol.

I decided to go with the Goko. All you guys had me talked into the Tanaka. The goko though is a great looking knife as Adam said and I really appreciated Shaun's video on the Gyuto.
