Got an education and free entertainment here, Thank you, made my day! I am very happy with the results of laying down the DMT and flattening my stones over a gentle stream of running water. And if someone comes up with a way of working portmanteau into a conversation, I have a plethora of people to impress.

Would Vectron be a double portmanteau of Vector + tron, where tron would mean 'trace on' a term for debugging code? Thanks for teaching me a new word!

At work, one could complain about Microsoft (microcomputer+software) :) or even Linux (Linus Torv... + unix)

WOW, that double embedded portmanteau is scary. Bravo, Ken. Vectron actually comes from this British comedy sketch:

And you'll be able to find all sorts of portmanteaus if you care to look for them right under your nose, Microsoft and Linux being great examples. Point them out to your co-workers, and voila, a brilliant opportunity to slide "portmanteau" into a conversation!

This turned into a thoroughly entertaining thread :) Hail Vectron! :)

A perfect conversation to have with your fellow 'workaholics' over 'brunch' :)
