Somehow I doubt this will be the last one. I'm going to sit on my hands and not get another until at least June, yea that's the ticket it will my birthday present then.

But for now I think one more will fit in my line up just right.

I have now:

DMT XXC plate
"Latte" 400
Shapton Pro 1000
Sigma Power Select II 1200
Gesshin 2000
Imanishi 4000
Gesshin 6000
Sigma Power Select II 13000

I'm thinking something between the 6000 and 13000 then in June for my b-day mabye a 15k.

What do you like in the 8k t0 10k to fill that gap?

Trust me, I get that I don't really NEED another stone but hey..... ;)

Either a Snow White 8k or a Bamboo 10k might slide in there nice.

I can't imagine another stone in there...but:

My favorite 10k stone is the 10k Naniwa Superstone.

So in other words no consensus amongst the world's great sharpeners?

Geeze, can't we just all get along? :)

No. I won't help you. I think you guys are all nuts! I'd suggest you all need a 12 step program, but you'd probably ask me where you could get a 15 step program.

Yes, I happen to like nuts, but that doesn't change my assessment. Don't buy another stone. You need another stone like I need another fly rod... come to think of it...

Hah! Too late, already bought it. ;)

I have a Kitayama 8k that's in the FedEx already. It should be here on Wed. Now I need to decide what the NEXT one will be.

Lucian,

The Sigma Power stones are really nice. I would not hesitate to suggest them to anyone.
