Hey guys,

Just wanted to send out a special thanks to Mark, Sue and staff at CKTG for all their hard work and effort during the Christmas rush. Also, a special thanks to all you guys on the forum for your time and help. It means a lot to a Rookie Jr. Men 1A Division guy like me. LOL! I might not post a lot but, I do read a lot and learn from you guys. Again, I say thanks! Quick update on my great Christmas. And it goes like this...

Starter Sharpening Set - Arashiyama 1000, Naniwa SS 3000, Arashiyama 6000, Universal Stone Holder, Illuminated 20X Eye Loop and Felt Block.

Richmond Artifex 210mm. I had the finish Sharpening done by JMBullman. Excellent knife and scary sharp to boot!

Not 1 but 2 handmade cutting boards from my sister-in-law's father. He's a retired Marine and a woodworking fanatic!

And last but not least my belated Shaun Fernandez 230mm Gyuto with Cocobolo handle. I have not received this one yet. But I am anxiously waiting!

To my surprise this was way more than I expected. My family, friends and you guys made this a Christmas to remember! I'll attempt to get some pics of my meager quiver and blocks up asap. Thanks again to the best culinary business and forum on the web!

Not to worry jmbullman. You both do excellent work. Next up on my wish list is to have Tim Johnson rehandle my Richmond Artifex. It will be kosher beef, super cherry deluxe! LOL

Wow, thanks for giving my knife a try! It's exciting to see what other people think about it, I hope you like it.

You'll have no trouble maintaining the edge on that Artifex after James thinned it, it should hone up really fast. ;)

Thanks Shaun. I have no doubt that the new Fernandez 230mm Gyuto will be awesome! I'm already stocking up on veggie's so I can work it out! Pretty soon my family will be saying... He slices, he dices and makes hundreds of julienne fries in minutes! LOL

I'd say that's a nice haul for Christmas! I have a Tojiro ITK K tip, Addict 2 in 52100, Tanaka 210mm Blue KU gyuto and a Naniwa Aotoshi coming in this week :)

Although not actually presents, I have a few things in the works...

Just picked up a CCK 1103 and an ITK kiritsuke.
Sent my Konosuke HD 210 petty in for a re-rehandle, as I cracked the ferrule seem.
Also sent my Moritaka KS in to have the Keller handle reworked as it was large and blocky.
Also sent in my Masamoto KS for some brand new shoes...exciting.
Have a new handle in the mail for the ITK...
AND, just worked out a trade for an itto-ryu white #1 gyuto.
