Michael just pointed out to me that the new forums here were up and going, so I thought I'd drop past and post up a copy of the most current grit chart!

Some of the values, especially for the EdgePro stuff, and the Sharpmaker rods are still a little on the questionable side, so if you see any errors, let me know and I'll update the chart. (edited: The original chart link was taken down so it was replaced with this image. 6/18/2014 mkf)

Thanks, man, this can never be in too many places. And for all your hard work, quite the labor of love............

Hey, not MY data, man. The hard work goes to all the guys who sorted that grit out in the first place. I'm just the keeper of the Excel. lol

Glad it can be of some help to you! :)

Any updates on this chart?

My Edge Pro came with a 400 stone instead of the 320 - I am estimating the value at 23m?

Are the ATOMA plates exactly as they read - e.g. 140, 400, 600, 1200, in terms of Shapton or Chosera values?

Thanks!

Would love to know where the Suehiro Rika 5K and the Naniwa Snow White 8K fit on this chart as well as the Atoma Plates?

Would they all be similar to the Chosera Grit ratings?

I've sent Komitadjie a text. Maybe he already has the data from Edge Pro. Naniwa uses same rating for Chocera, superstones and snow white AFAIK.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get ANY solid information on the EdgePro grits, beyond the initial numbers the chart started out with. I've hit up Ben Dale a few times, I would honestly suspect that HE doesn't know exactly. That's good question on the Atomas, I'll see what I can dig up there and get an update put together.
