Very nice, thanks. But you "kind of" made my inner child sad in that I always thought that a strop was a must for a screaming edge.

Using this setup, would you recomend sharpening on the 1K side and ONLY stroping on the 6K side (I have seen a video on these line of procedure).
(And using the beston for repair and thinning)

MATTA <> I'd suggest sharpening with edge leading & trailing sequences on both grits, but finishing each final sequence on each grit with a stropping sequence (i.e., solely edge-trailing), as well. Stropping on a 6k will leave a scary edge... if sharpened properly.
