Hello.

I bought a Konosuke HD Wa-Gyuto 240mm not that long ago and want to know about sharpening it.

Without going crazy expencive, what kind of stones and equipment would i need to buy to keep it as sharp as it is out of the box?

Thanks for the help
Aleksander

Hi Aleksander. I will give you 2 options based on cost.

This is a simple combo stone. It's really all you need and it's good:

This 5pc set is cost effective and will give you a low grit stone that comes in handy as well as a couple popular accesories that are useful:

I have all of the 5 pc set components (bought over the years), works great on many knives/steels! Great set to handle all your needs! You can add in a finer stone or strop if you want as you get more into it.

CKTG's 5 piece set is a good value and a great set to start off with. You won't be tempted to replace things as they're all great stones.
