I travel with a ceramic rod, a felt block, and a shapton pro 2k in it's box with a diamond plate. compact, and can do just about anything.

So this is a question I have been forced into myself. I am in New York fixing flooded houses and my tursty Coarse/Fine DMT Dia-fold works but does not give me the edge my obsessive complusive sharpening self needs. I've thought about the small Nubatama 1k, a imanishi combo stone, or something I have not thought of yet. I will be sharpening ELMAX and CPMD2 steel so the stones need to have good cutting ability.
