I sharpen Takedas to a "zero edge"--where you just slap the blade road on the stone and sharpen to an even burr. I try to put a Hamaguri on them, but the blade road is really small.

Thanks for the help guys I thinned like crazy and I'd say that was deffinatly the culprit, I believe it was a lot like you said being an upside down teardrop shape. I"d say it's 70% better noe. I assume if I thin some more it will be perfect, thanks a lot guys
