Mark has said that there is a batch of Konosuke HD2 about to ship. I would hold out for this knife, it really is as good as it's reputation!

Thanks everyone for you input!

I have actually already placed an order for the following knives for my mother:

Masakage Yuki Petty 120mm

Masakage Yuki Gyuto 210mm

and

Masakage Kiri VG10 Santoku 165mm

Initailly i was going for Yuki Bunka, however it was out of stock - so i went for Kiri Santoku... they look almost as if they are form the same range... at least judging from the photoes.

I also ordered these for myself:

Takamura Migaki R-2 Santoku 170mm (the Gyuto was out of stock unfortunatelly)

Takeda Classic Sasanoha 210mm Medium (it was in stock and looked pretty similar to Gyuto knife to me)

May post an update and a review some time later.

I've been eyeing the Sasanoha line for a while. Would love to hear your thoughts

Me too...I've been curious about these for a while, especially since they tend to run long and short, which is quite a rare combination in the 210 range these days I think.
