"Regarding the Nubatama 400 and extra hard 1K. I had to soak them for a good 10 minutes. When I took a razor from the Atoma 400 to convert on the Nub. 400, I looked under the scope and the edge looked a little ragged. I thought it might be too much for a razor. I then went to the Nub. 1K and it felt a little rough compared to the Shapton 1K…
Then I figured it out (party) I took the 400 out of the well, put it on top of the sink partition (it's a 3 tank bar sink) then let the water drizzle on the stone as I did X strokes. Whole different ball game. Totally killed the diamond scratches and gave a smooth edge under the scope. Then did the Nub. 1K in the same way with running water. Wow! Do those edges look clean. I then went to my Shapton 2K as normal on my work bench. F..king revolutionary!!! Love this progression.
You did it again Ken. You steered me in the direction that I would have never found and it worked out fantastic. Thanx"
