I'll be placing a stone order tomorrow so we'll be back in stock on all your favorite Nubatama stones in about 5 weeks.
Sorry for the delay. We had to issues to deal with that are now resolved.

Ok, I have an order in so the clock starts ticking. Hopefully we'll have more in 6 weeks. In the meantime the ones on our shelves will slowly sell out so get them while we have them.
We're also going to put a 3 pc set on the stock that will feature the 3 best selling stones of both lines, the 150 bamboo, 1K ume and 5K bamboo along with a couple accessories. This should be a great set for most users that want top of the line stones to start their sharpening endeavors.

The Nubatamas have arrived!! For those of you wanting your first taste of Nubatama stones, the 150 bamboo + 1k Ume Medium hardness stone and the 5k Bamboo is IMO and Mark's an excellent introduction both for carbon and stainless blades. It's also not a throwaway set as you can add to these stones as your needs become more specialized, knowing that these stones will not go to waste but rather form a basic core of your future stone selections.
Get 'em while you can

I was wondering, what is the difference between the Nubatama ume stones and the Nubatama bamboo stones? there is not much of a price difference between the two

I just posted a similar question to the above to the larger Sharpening Q&A sub-forum. I'm curious as to what the difference is between the Bamboo and Plum lines and the difference between colors within a single product line (e.g., Bamboo 1K white, 1K Gold, 1K Small powder blue).

I think this is a link to the set. http://www.chefknivestogo.com/nushset.html
So you don't have to fumble around looking for them.
