great videos, Jason. thank you. i have one question. on the last vid, you said you were using the nubatama ume 1k extra extra hard stone. i would be very interested in buying this stone, but can't seem to locate it on the CKTG site. i'm probably not looking in the right place. could you possibly post a link so i can find it? thanks again for the vids.

I got it directly from Ken, only the medium Ume is on the CKTG site.

It is a very fast 1k stone but it is also the coarsest 1k I have used. It's coarser than a Shapton pro 1k so if purchased a good 2k will be needed to follow.

I am so glad to hear you say that! This has been my experience too. I like the stone a lot, but it feels coarse and I felt like I needed a 2k to move up my progression with any speed.
