Well not all that but I do have some new videos

First up is the Imanishi Pink 220, not a bad stone for rough work and large enough to last a while.

Next is a small review of the Imanishi 10K. This stone hardly gets enough attention for a high grit stone, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a really good polishing stone.

And lastly we have one of my favorites, a Takeda. For me these are simply a joy to sharpen.

great videos, Jason. thank you. i have one question. on the last vid, you said you said you were using the nubatama ume 1k extra extra hard stone. i would be very interested in buying this stone, but can't seem to locate it on the CKTG site. i'm probably not looking in the right place. could you possibly post a link so i can find it? thanks again for the vids.

Excellent work Jason.

I was unable to really tell if you were able to bring the Shinogi back to perfectly straight, as well as being symmetrical to the edge.

Looks good tho...

It's kind of awesome to see my yanagi being brought back to life. Interestingly, this was one of the first knives I ever got from Mark, quite a while ago. I tried many things with this blade, most of which I probably shouldn't have, but I did learn a lot by basically trying and failing. I consider myself an ok sharpener now, still a novice at the single-bevels. Jason did an excellent job of bringing this back, shinogi looks great, and it is actually a wicked little yanagi (around 200mm)!

Nice work Jason - now I'll have a video to go by when I try to sharpen it again!

And.. my Takeda too! Jason really is right that there's nothing like sharpening a Takeda. I think of this knife as the one that helped me get decent at sharpening. Part of it was because it was my first knife, so I was generous with a sharpie on it. But also, the feel is really good, it might have been in my mind but I like to think I was able to actually tell that I was "getting it right". It was really sharp by my standard when I sent it to Jason, but he got it just a bit sharper! It's nice to see what a pro can do, and it's even better to have the video :D
