They look short; what are they like 45 @ the heel?

Not so much. I got mine from the first batch, it's 50 mm at the heel. Super knife! I really enjoy using mine.

This batch looks different than the last though.

Maybe? Somehow I doubt it though. But then again the maker's mark on mine is MUCH fainter. 8-)

Paradox! Glad you like it!

As for they looks, they are identical. All laser cut at the same time, same place, only one batch. Height is 50 mm. There maybe up to 5mm difference in length, as some of the tips had to be revisited by me.

Makers mark. Some did end up a tad lighter, because I had to refinish some of the blades. Because they are "laser" etches, they are only a couple thou' deep.

The angle of the photo accounts for most of the perceived shape difference. I assure you, there isn't.

Hi Pierre,

I like these alot. Good work.

Hey, I'm getting some Blue #2 steel at the end of the year. We should discuss doing another batch of these using that steel.

Next one is available on the site here and now. The bog oak you used on this one is really nice Pierre. Reminds me of ebony:
