Got my Baby Boards in today! These are around 8x8x1 3/8". My mom used to have a 1 piece small cutting board around 7x7x1", but it broke, so I got one for her for her Birthday (Mom picked the Cherry Board) and the other will go to my brother and his wife as a housewarming gift, along with a Santoku knife as their birthday present.

Hi Jsq,

You might give Mark a call. He has a bunch of different sizes right now, so I bet he's got one in stock that would meet your needs.

I stuck the first small cherry board on the site today. There are a bunch more but I'm backed up with stuff to put on the site.

Two questions:
Would it be a mortal sin tyo get a larger board and rip it on a tablesaw to the size I would want? I have a 6"x11" white board I use a lot to cut small things-lemons and limes, etc.
What adhesives are you using?

There are some 8x8 boards that would work for the smaller cutting tasks; I have one at home! Or just do a 12x12 and enjoy the extra size. I guess you could rip it, but it may lead to issues down the road if the cut is rough and pieces split or something. Or just call/emal John and ask him to make you a 6x11. Thats what I did to get the 8x8 boards!! He does custom work, so I don't see an issue with it.

John Loftis did a video he linked on his blog about building a board, I believe it was Titebond 3, but I am not 100% sure?
