I am a home cook. Never knew much about Japanese knives. I stumbled across the store from a search. I had already been to a few other sites, but none of those sites had enough information for me to make a decision.
The store, the videos, reviews, and forum here are awesome. Really, Chef Knives To Go took me from no knowledge to feeling comfortable enough to buy in less than a day.
Bought my first knife Artifex 240. Awesome knife, lots of fun to cook with. Just a week later after watching some more videos I bought another knife Fujiwara petty and a stone. Thanks for all the information and a great site.

With the combination of great products, great service, and great information, why would anyone buy from anywhere else but CKTG!

Mark -- I hope you copy off and keep testimonials like Gary's in a file somewhere so you have them in your "back pocket" so to speak.

You'd better give her all of your credit cards, too.

Hey thanks Gary. I had a lot of help from both my wire Sue and many of the folks on this forum that helped educate me over the years on knives, sharpening and telling me what they want. My main job has been to listen and hunt for stuff.
