I have been holding onto a really nice piece of curly chocolate maple that I want to make into a magnetic knife strip for some time now. I have it all figured out except mounting hardware.
Does anyone have any suggestions. I do not mind being able to see some nice heavy brass, copper or other screws, or if there is a good way to have hidden hardware. I would love to hear everyones ideas. Thanks in advance!

Lol. That's the same thread I was thinking about. With those hangers , you install the screws into the wall and leave a bit of the head sticking out . The heads will
Fit in the slots and slide in the channels to hang. You can make a similar fastening system directly into the wood in the back, if you have a router and either a keyhole bit or a dovetail bit.

I put keyhole slots in my rack when I hung it so you can't see the hardware.

That definitely helps, I was considering keyhole slots but was concerned about their durability.
That is a beautiful piece of wood you have there. Great job and thanks!
