A while ago I bought a Global Chef's knife and a Global Mino Sharp 3 from you. I've noticed that the knife does not get as sharp after sharpening as it used to. Does this mean I need a new sharpener? Can the ceramic sharpening wheels be replaced? What do you recommend?
The minosharp sharpener does have replacement wheels that work but we don't sell them. Do a search and you should find someone that offers them.
Ideally I recommend that you get a stone and sharpen on that. Something like this combo stone from Imanishi is a good one and pretty much all you need. With just a little practice you will get better edges than you've ever gotten with the minosharp. http://www.chefknivestogo.com/imtwosi1kst.html
