Magnetic Knife Holder

Sat Jun 15, 2013 6:32 pm

I am looking for a magnetic knife holder with a wood face to protect my knives that not only holds the knives magnetically but also is mounted magnetically. I am looking to carry it in my knife roll and mount it on stainless walls and or possibly appliances every time I go to work so I don't have to keep busting out my roll. Does anyone know of anything like this and where I can buy it from.

Here are a couple options that shoudl work. I don't have first hand experience with either so I dont know how strong is the (holding) force on these.

Oh awesome, your the man. The second one is exactly what I am talking about, I need it to be magnetic on both sides so it can stick to a steel wall or the like at work. My only issue with the second one besides the price is the fact that is has individual magnets rather than a long strip. I have been looking into magnet companies online that sell all sorts of various magnets and found a few that sell long strips. This is purely for function and was thinking about glueing some of those to a piece of wood flooring or something of the like and it will look decent and function like a champ. I will try that out for now and let you guys know how it turns out and post pictures of my results. Thank you so much though vinhster, you found exactly what I was describing and trust me I searched for a long while.

The first one will work similar to the second one. The difference is that its prescribed mounting method is to screw a metal plate to your wall, then the magnets inside the strip will stick to both the metal plate as well as your knives.
