This is the m390 artifex sharpened on the new Meara with a atoma 3x3 1200 grit slurry plate used to make the slurry. This in my op is the hottest j-nat to come from Japan in a while, I have tested it on m390, cpm154, aeb-l , vg10 and most of the Germans and it leaves the edge especially on the harder steels shiny an nicely toothy it also works miracles for the others. The trick is the slurry either use a piece of the mother stone or a 1200 3x3 atoma plate that mark sells it leaves no extra grit to deal with so u can work just the knife edge and not worry about cutting with a lesser grit left by a nagura or dmt what has a tendency to leave a deep scratch pattern where as the atoma doesn't. If your interested in this stone shoot me an email or a pm and Ill tell you more about it and where to acquire one. Peace and prosperity, jmbullman
