I really like my massakge Koishi gyuto which uses the blue super steel. However I don’t want my petty to match my gyuto. Any recommendations for that hardness and durability that the Koishi provides? I might end up going with the Konosuke HD2 Petty 120mm.

The HD you cited is a really good one and it's the lightest and thinnest of the bunch. Most people really enjoy them and since your friend has introduced you to it you already know what to expect.

In a petty, though, I'd prefer something stainless (or at least semi-stainless like the HD2's). With that on your radar, I don't think I'd recommend the Takeda over it.

Again, though, not over the HD2 IMHO.

Mike, if you're not in a hurry, you might want to wait for the Kohetsu AS Petty 120 to arrive. I don't know what the specs on will be (blade height, etc), but it'll be stainless clad AS like your Koishi with a totally different look.
