I am looking for a good slicing knife that isn't too expensive. The one that has caught my eye is the Artifex Sujihiki.
Also if you guys have input on a good petty that'd be great; need an upgrade from my worn out Wusthof.
As for work environment, I work as a line cook for a country club working 5-6 days a week.

I'll let others recommend a slicer but for a petty, the 150 Hiromoto is a good choice nice and thin very sharp ,easily cut my finger today

For the price you'd be hard pressed to beat the Richmond Artifex Suji.
I have to agree that the Hiromoto 150 is an excellent knife with it's AS core and is also very hard to beat for the price.
Both great "bang for the buck" knives!
