Looking for a good petty.

Tue Oct 09, 2012 6:12 pm

Hi Mark

As discussed, I am looking for a recommendation for a Paring Knife. Zknives in their reviews highly recommended the Tojiro 100 mm Flash Paring knife. Do have any thoughts on that? Also can I get that knife from CKTG?

As always – thanks for your thoughts and help

Regards Walter

Hi Walter,

Cutlery and More has exclusive rights to the Flash line just as I do with the Shirgami kurouchi line so I'm sorry I can't get that knife for you.

Try my new petty. It's 1/2 the price and I'll bet you will like it just as much:

I'm sure some of the other guys can give you some suggestions too.

The Shun Class paring knife is still among my favorites. The handle shape is ideal amongst factory made paring knives and the blade is the perfect shape. Not the perfect steel, but I dealt with it long enough to make my own copy. :)
