Actually it gets used daily - still shaving sharp.....man this steel is amazing.

The jimping is a little sharp though - need to "soften" it with my dremel - otherwise it is super comfy in the hand.

The action is so cool, I like open the knife every couple of minutes just for the feel......yeah, yeah, like a kid I know.

Is this taken to 0.125 micron strop with a CBN emulsion?
Or just using stones? Which stones?
Thanks

Thanks for your quick reply Mad Rookie, The question is because Ive been noticing that taking an edge to that level of polishing takes almost ALL the micro tooth away so you can run your fingers along the edge and it wont grab or cut because there are no serations and when using it for procesing food it will slice over the vegetables skin and when cutting rope it will just wont grab the fiber.
Is that your case?
I´m thinking more of pocket EDC Folders or field camping hiking knives cause on kitchen knives I thinki I prefer staying in the 6K stones grit.

any recomendation before investing in more compounds and strops trying to achieve that level of polish?

Yes, you are correct.

The exercise was one of seeing how refined I could go.

I seldom go above 2k for a good cutter.
