Got my Konosuke HD2 24o in the mail when i got home from work today. Out of the box fit and finish are amazing! Very light, handle is tight, no problems up by the ferrule/handle joint. Solid blade to handle joint too. The blade itself is impeccable. Very thin, and light, almost feels like im holding a feather.

As for a sharpness test, I don't have much as my home kitchen is demoed out for rehab. I managed to find half a red onion and test out the blade with that. OMG WOW! That onion didn't stand a chance. I believe the words that came out of my mouth were," What kind of demonic magic spawned this awesome piece of cutlery(cultlrey? seems like we are almost a cult :D).

Taking this knife into work tomorrow to put it through its paces, gonna be fun!!! 8-)

So very glad to hear you will be slicing things with a passion. I am so sick of hearing my boss take his lump of soft steel to his diamond honing rod. Oh and the carbide pull through sharpener...oooh the humanity!

Konosuke is on the to do list but first I must get an Usuba.
