I hope you are doing well.
I noticed that you all Konosuke HD's has been changed to Konosuke HD2, even that the image of that product still shows HD version.
1. You are not planning to sell HD anymore?
2. You are expecting a big shipment from Konosuke their new HD2 version
Could you please explain?

The HD(2) moniker represents the second generation of steel in the HD line. EVERY knife in the HD line is currently forged with current elemental proportions which are slightly different then the first proprietary blend. This was done in hopes to extend edge retention, and as someone who has both blends, old HD's & new HD's, they achieved their goal.
These are not two separate lines; they are the same. It is analogous to a new model year of a car. Just because a Model T has a new engine putting out 15 more horsepower this year... its still a Model T.
Furthermore, you can follow all Konosuke shipments here as CKTG is at about a 500 knife backorder

Thank you for explanation. I do understand the difference between HD and HD2. My concern is about the change on CKTG website, yesterday there was some HD's, today number 2 was added everywhere.http://www.chefknivestogo.com/konosuke-knives.htmlhttp://www.chefknivestogo.com/kohdjaha.html

I think they are just getting caught up with it. The "HD2" is all that has been available for some time now as far as my understanding goes. Even though it might have said HD it was an HD2 you'd have gotten. I believe Konosuke still just calls it the HD series even though it's all been updated to the newer second gen steel formula.
Anything that was listed yesterday as an HD was actually an HD2.

VLAD <> Yes, as I explained... all new HD's contain HD2 steel. The knives (images) look identical as they are aesthetically identical.
As Paradox explains... the site verbiage was updated.
And as you explain, in concert, hitting the nail right square on the head, "today [the] number 2 was added everywhere."

....mmmmm.....and here I was led to believe that the HD2 only denoted to a new shape/profile, with the exact same old HD steel.....
Now I am really confused - Mark, help us out here please...???

ROOK <> I am absolutely positive the HD2 represents the second generation of metal... a slightly different blend. The profiles are not effected...

That has also been my understanding.
