Re: Konosuke fuji blue #2

Real talk:
Wanting to know how much a konosuke fujiyama 240mm gyuto w/ ginsanko steel w/ reg handle would be.
(I remember Mark saying it would be 10% extra but need to make sure.)
And more importantly if cktg will be getting those anytime soon.
The ginsanko already in stock, I dont deserve (and cant afford).

I appreciate you taking the time and forgive me for being unclear.

I'm doing my best here, really. :|

If you'd like a custom fabricated to your specs, contact Mark @ info@chefknivestogo.com . MAYBE he can get a custom order from the Fujiyama blacksmith. I am just a forum member; I do not work for CKTG, but I do know that I have a custom on order right now & the cost spread from HD2:G3 was 50%... not 10% as you are assuming. AND that wasn't even utilizing the Fuji-smith. The http://www.chefknivestogo.com/kowasi24ho.html would, by simple logic, be less expensive. Is the slightly thicker blade & nuances of the Fujiyama blacksmith really worth the additional time & expense to you, when the knife you want is currently sitting on Mark's shelf.?! Understand, if it can be custom made for you, it will take no less than 6 weeks from the day you pay for it up front.

I was originally asking Mark but you were nice enough to answer me, Im just trying to clairify.
I did email Mark a while back and he stated it was 10%, might be a mistake.
I know custom orders take time, thats why my o.g. post of "ginsan soon?" was just asking if cktg was going to stock fujiyama style konosuke w/ ginsanko steel.
And Mark gave me a link to the non fujiyama ginsans in stock, so I was wondering if the price diff. would be significant.

Im honestly thankful for your attentiveness and initiative but I just simply want to know if Mark's getting ginsan fujiyamas anytime soon. And if I get a reply, thats great, but if not, its not a big deal.

The blacksmith (let's call him Fujiyama) does white steels (1 and 2) along with blue steels (1 and 2 and AS). He doesn't do Ginsanko although I'm sure he could.

Konosuke uses another blacksmith to do the Ginsan/Silver 3 line that we sell. They are all ground by the same grinder and they are all using the same handles which the staff at Konosuke installs in their office.
