I just got a piece of Ebony for ferrules a few weeks ago. How do you finish it? I'm planning on using it in conjunction with mahogany.

Sand to 600 grit, buff with wool belt on belt grinder, wax with Gun Stock Wax

Birchwood Casey or Tom's wax. Those are the only gunstock specific waxes I know of.
