More and more I find myself try to focus in on the knives they are using in TV shows/commercials. Does anyone else have this problem?

Oh yeah. Its not a problem. Its a way of life! LOL I've been tracking weapons and stuntmen in film and TV most of my life.

Yep, they are pretty good at not showing them on food network/cooking channel. They do slip up on chopped from time to time though

Hey, the DVR has helped me identify many a knife!! It drives my wife nuts some times.

LOL...sounds like watching all the shooting scenes and counting the rounds. Bad habit created by growing up in a law enforcement family....

Yea Diesel, I like those 6 shooters that shoot 10 or more rounds without reloading. I've looked for one for years but can't seem to find one.

Poofy hair and overacting? Yeah, I guess green eyes was pretty hot....both of them for that matter!

I notice that Ming has been using various ceramic of late - no idea of the brand but IIRC he was faster with a Chinese Cooks Knife
I tend to focus more on their knife technique than what they are using. Usually this makes me cringe as even the most experienced seem to struggle with using their TV blades.
I suspect that most TV chefs are forced to be seen using whatever knives are provided by sponsors even though these are not their knives of choice. I'm pretty sure that Nigella would prefer to keep using her mezzaluna rather than the horrid scalloped santokus she gets stuck with.
