I'm looking to spend about a little over 100$ on a knife bag that can carry about 12 or so knives at a time.
so i was looking into the Koobi kit 4th gen, the Ultimate Edge 18 pocket or the Chef Pak (the back pack, so i can lug my regular clothes in it also)...
what can you guys say about each one?

Of the three I like the Ultimate Edge bag the best. I don't care for the plastic in the new koobi kits. The back pack is pretty good but it doesn't hold enough knives.

thanks. now, i'll have to decide if i want more knives and carry another bag or carry less knives and carry one bag.

Will the Ultimate Edge fit a Ben riner Mandolin? One of the reviews said he has to leave out his mandoline, but didn't specify what kind

+1 on the Ultimate Edge bag.
One of the three flaps on this bag has large mesh pockets that will easily accommodate a mandoline, even the extra-wide variety.
