Anybody got anything to report on these? I'm interested to try a W2 blade, my preference is for rustic Kuro finishes. I've not seen/read any reviews on this particular line.

A little background: I'm a carbon fanatic, own a couple of AS & B2 knives already (Hiro, Takeda, Kumagoro) and am just looking to try a new carbon steel.

Thanks

Unfortunately, no, I've not tried or seen any reviews of it.

However, I have used W2, and even made a knife with it. It's a very good carbon steel. Easy to sharpen. Gets more than sharp enough, etc.

Thanks for the reply, Adam.

In re-reading my post I can see where I wasn't very clear in my inquiry. I am sold on the steel itself but I am curious as to how the Gyuto in this line performs, namely, is it more workhorse or laser? The specs indicate a rather wide spine and a bit of heft, like a workhorse, but it appears to have a wide (or long) bevel and therefore thinness behind the edge which should give it laser performance.

I really would like to see a Knife Fanatic video on one of these knives as the steel & looks of this line really appeals to me.

Gotcha!

It does look like a nice one. Can't wait to see a review.
