They are san mai construction. Ginsanko steel on the core.

I figured they are san-mai from the "double-layer" description, but two layers of the same steel is how the description reads & I don't think that's the case. Do they harden a G3 hagane to higher Rc & then laminate with a softer G3 jigane? I can't imagine so, but I can imagine that the core steel would be listed & since it is not... I am left with this lingering question.
