Just for veggies in a home kitchen. Will be a step up from what have but just hope it will not end up too small. I don't have a knife larger than a 240 so I think I will be ok but wanted to ask.

I have gone through a lot of boards over the years. I say get the biggest board you can fit on the counter space you have and also easily deal with it when not in use. I have an 18" x 24" Boos now and sometimes wish it could be a little bigger but it fits the space I have for it just right.

18 x 24 is big enough....but bigger is always better.
I have a 18" x 18" and I wish it was bigger some times.

We use a 14x14 board at home most of the time and I don't find much of a need for pulling out a larger one.

I have a 16x~18 board. Love it, but it's hard to clean it well when I slice meats on it since it's too big for the sink. I will often use a 12x12 if I am cutting up 1 or two of something.

Thanks for the replies! I ended up going with a Boardsmith 16x22 Carolina Slab! I have room so I took the leap!

But I like them as big as my counter will fit.
