Idahone J3000?

On CKTG the Idahone fine is listed as 1200 grit. I have seen on a few forums and a few web sites that this is an ANSI rating making it close to J3000. Can you verify this?

Hi Jeff,

The grit ratings are different so 1200 is roughly similar to 3K for Japanese grits I think.

I'm glad you like it. I tend to recommend it a lot to customers since it's gentle on edges
