My new job I get free golf. (one of the many benefits)

But I don't play golf and have never tried, I might try a round when it gets a little warmer on my day off, the guys at the pro shop said they'd take me out and show me how lol.

Take them up on their offer, see if you enjoy it. I personally love playing golf, I just don't get out enough. It is a tough game don't get discouraged if you do not do well at first.

Good advice. You could always do what I do and play disc golf, not as hard as regular golf but nowhere near as easy as playing a game of frisbee.

Lucky you! Get out there and try it!
I have been playing since I was 12 years old. Love it!
It is not an easy game to learn, and one you will never master.

I'm a golf nut and sickly addicted to it. I also get the nice fringe benefit of free golf.
Golf, in itself, is a great game to learn and play. Not only is it a game that promotes attributes such as honesty and integrity; it is a great tool for networking too.
I've met many people on the course such as entrepreneurs, business owners, company presidents, and other shot callers that may have an influence on a future job, business venture, etc. A connection is made and your network grows and you'll "know people who know people" ;) Also, whenever I see them again in the restaurant, I can greet them and say "Hi" adding a personal touch to their dining experience.
Bring a friend! Golf is a great way to spend time with people (if you have the option to bring a guest with you on the course).
Winter was too long

Grab a friend with some clubs and go to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls, you'll know real quick if you'd enjoy it.

I'm a golf nut....and I'm at the driving range regularly.

It REALLY pays to take a lesson or two from a PGA guy to get the swing down....makes a big difference.

Take advantage of that perk and try it out! I haven't played in ages, so I'm a envious of you. Just remember, it's meant to be fun so don't let any of it get you frustrated.
