Thinned a little, worked a bit longer on the edge and gained some ground. Still, it doesn't cut as well as the other. I'm still after it though. Almost there but the blade looks like hell wouldn't have it.

Huh, yeah, thinning a knife can be dangerous for it's appearance unless you go nuts and polish a really wide, 1/2 way up the blade, to a mirror polish.
