Burl red wood dyed black. Had thought about using it for my atrifex but think the 300 tanaka yanagiba will be a better fit.

Cool looking knives. Have you used yours yet?

Yes, I have used mine a handful of times. Cut very well; it's a heavier knife and mostly just falls through food on it's own weight. Work got incredibly busy once the students got back, so I haven't had any time to work on the other 2 handles yet.

Finally got some time to work on the 240 and 210mm for CKTG!

210mm has a ferrule of the Blue Burl from my handle, blue mammoth tooth and a Bog Oak handle. The ferrule and tooth were pretty busy, so I kept them shorter. I think it makes it look sleeker with the longer dark handle? The 240mm is sporting a Bog Oak Ferrule, Blue mammoth Tooth spacer and a Buckeye Burl handle:

Also working on a little Takeda Kogatana and turning it into a knife with a real handle on it! Gonna shorten up the handle tomorrow and bring it down to it's final size. Handle fits my hand well, but it pretty long compared to the blade. Kinda looks like a Scandinavian knife, a Puukko? Curly Koa handle, Ivory Micarta spacer.
