I am interested in getting a Hiromoto gyuto. In many places one is advised to thin this knife behind the edge. I recently asked a question about this in another threat and someone wrote Shaun could do this. (In the past, Tim has thinned/convexed an Artifex gyuoto for me and he did a beautiful job.)
Ideally, I'd be able to etch the knife (bit uncertain about this) myself, so it would also have a great look.
My question is: how can we arrange this? It is not an option on the CKTG site, so that's why I ask it here.

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for.

We just had a customer buy Adam's rehandled hiromoto gyuto and send it down to Shaun for the thinning and etching service. I can't wait to see a picture of that bad boy.
Adam, you want to do some more hiros for us soon? I don't know how busy you are at the moment but let me know.

As soon as the Hiro's are back in stock again (I'm looking for a 240mm gyuto), I'll order one...
In another thread I heard that would be early this week. Is that correct?

Yes they're due any day now. I'm betting tomorrow but customs is always a wildcard.
