FWIW, I have a Kono HD 180 petty with an ebony handle. Yes, it's handle heavy, but I don't notice it at all. That being said I'd save $ and go with the stock handle.
Kono HD uses a semi stainless "mystery" steel. No one seems to care what it is because it takes and holds a wonderful edge. For such a thin blade it's a robust performer that doesn't have to be babied. That's an example of what I'm talking about re: steel not being such a big factor.

I wasn't a fan of Ho handles until I got one in my hand.

The Konosuke, Moritaka and Takeda are all very good knives. This is where it comes down to you have to look over each knife carefully and see which you keep coming back to the most. Which one keeps calling to you. Personal preference would make many of use choose a different knife from this selection, you need to choose yours. There is no "bad" choice here. You won't be disappointed.
Isn't Japanese knives fun!
