This is a nice and new item from Handamerican. This new butcher micro grooved steel has the same grooved surface that the borosilicate rod has using the same equipment designed for re creating steels for Tiffany & Co. in NYC. The steel will not harm a knife edge in any way, its purpose is to re align the edge and impart a microscopic bite.
If you rub your fingernail across the grooves just a light trace is left behind. Another tool to extend the life of your favorite blades.
Case hardened steel - rc 62-64
Overall length: 16-5”
Steel length - 11”
Steel diameter - 1/2”
Comes with black leather sheath.http://www.chefknivestogo.com/haamsufibust.html
To enter tell me what was your first car?
Mine was a 73' Olds Cutlas Supreme. They weren't nearly as cool back in 1979 when I got it as they are now. My great Uncle gave it to me when they bought a new car.

Oh wow, what memories this has conjured!!!!!!!!!!!
1964 TR4-A IRS, set up for moto-cross.
A real sleeper before I put big wheels and tires and great paint, used to win a lot of money on my lunch hour racing, loved to eat up those 240Z's................................

I had a 1968 VW Karmann Ghia, painted Porsche Guardsman Red. As a 17 year old kid, that was the closest I was going to come to having an actual sportscar.

1980 Toyota corolla station wagon, white with fm radio and ac. Not very cool, but it worked. First time I ever drove it out with some young ladies, we went to a football game and got stuck in mud as we tried to leave. It was a standard, and we had to get one of the girls to drive as my friend and myself pushed it out of the mud. Even less cool is driving it home full of mud.

My first car was a '79 Olds Cutlass Supreme. A lot of good memories thinking back on that.

1967 faded yellow with spots of rust Chevy El Comino. I rebuilt the engine, brakes, suspention and steering in High School and took my Dad for a ride. He didn't know it could go 126 mph....He was thrilled to say the least and for good measure took the keys from me for a day as " Respectful Punishment ".

First car was a 1984 BMW 520i. I was posted to Germany, and these were cheep over there! I still miss it. 270 kph on a 6 cylinder 2 liter engine. I bought it from a guy who raced in the pro rally circuit, so it was tricked out some!
