Something came in the mail from Ken today , 1/2 of my latest order.

Tomo Naguras for all my in stock , and new Jnats , plus some special/unique Nagura stones.
Image

Brand new Jnats for the EP. we will go into more detail shortly.
Image

0.015u Polycrystalline , 1.2million grit. Don't mind the written label ,its what inside that counts.
Image

Poly/Alumnia Blend Test Compound. This 0.5u compound contains both Poly Diamond and AlOX abrasive. We are going to be doing testing to see if it offers any advantages over single blend solutions.
Image

Green Brick of joy and 8k snow white. Heard good things , just wanted to try em out. Cheap so I threw em on the pile.
Image

Some misc sticks , for serrations and hard to reach areas.
Image

Theres also some more CBN that pictures didn't come off my phone for whatever reason.

Now for more detail on the Jnats.

This is a Hideriyama , it is a hard polisher.
Image

This is a Nakayama Iromono , the current prize of my collection. A very hard polisher , perfect for straights. Becoming an increasingly rare stone. Ken was kind enough to save the powder from cutting the Tomo so I have that to play with as well.
Image

Image

This is a 2x6 Iyoto , a soft nagura stone. Nakado on its own.
Image

Khozuke , Medium hard Nakado stone.
Image

Tsushima stone. This stone is from an underwater mine located between Japan and North Korea , it was mined out in 1983. Hard Nagura stone.
Image

Hakka Suita , a soft polishing stone.
Image

Heres a better picture from Ken.
Image

Here is a Jokeji "smokey" nagura , this stone smoked similar to meat smoking , in order to change its characteristics. It is only done during certain times of the year.
Image

A better picture by ken , showing the beautiful grain structure.
Image

All put away :)

I have the GB in EP & full size SW and would recommend Shapton Glass instead. Both the GB & SW are a little thirsty for EP use IMO. The SG stones are fast and don't require constant flipping and water.

I picked up a range of 12 JNats from Ken and love the finishes.

I use 'em for my knives & my Nubatamas when some one brings me Germans.

Another convert.
