I'm looking to purchase a new slicer and wold like more information on left handed options. also i am looking to make a purchase without the tremendous markups for being left handed like JCK or epic edge requires.

I'm not sure what your price range is but I would highly recommend you get a wa-sujihiki. Something like this Konosuke would be a really nice knife for you:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/kowa271.html

For clarification, are we talking a yanagi or sujihiki? Most places don't sell left hand specific sujihiki, but do sometimes charge to "convert" the bevel to left hand....which I don't agree with BTW.
