We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

hello, I have the Edge pro Apex. i only have the stones Edge pro sent with it. i use it to sharpen pocket knives and hunting/skinning knives. I am happy with the results, however iam interested in the "next level" of sharpening. i have looked at the chosera stones on your web site however i like the Shapton glass stones better "i think" i was wondering if you had any recommendations for putting together a "good" set of them?? my dad and i do a lot of skinning in the winter after work and need razor sharp repeatedly any thoughts you guys have would be great

Hi Forrest,

Do you like a toothy type edge or a smooth polished edge on your knives?

My guess is polished for your type of work.

If so I would suggest:

500
1k
2k
4k
8k

That would give you a nice polished edge that should feel like razor.
