These were offered to me and I couldn't believe my eyes....

Goko
19C27
Damascus

$99.95....

I predict these will be the top selling knives in 2014. I can't think of anything that will touch them at this price: http://www.chefknivestogo.com/goko.html

These are in the air so I should have them next week.

O.O

There's no pic! lol

Not surprising since you don't have them yes, but let me just say... YES!!!

Can't wait to see one!

What does 19C27 equate to? Sure it's Swedish and hardened to 61 so I'm sure it's good, but is it also known by anything else or similar to anything? lol

It's the steel used in suisin inox honyaki. Good steel, from what I've read about on par with ginsan 3.

Ah, cool. Thank you for the info Luca! :)

If the grind and edge is anything like the white #1 I've been drooling over, I'm sold for $100! lol

I gotta add my name to the email list so hopefully I can be one of the first to pick one up. ;)

It just means I'll be saving longer to get the white #1 Goko... lol :)

You jerk...Mark...I just wasted 170$ on that damn Kohestsu and now you throw that gorgeous cheapo blade in my face...Heheheh...I promise not to attempt slicing a frozen block of pancetta with it.

I wanted to try a Goko...can you tell us a bit about Goko...Is it a collective of young blade smiths? How many knives do they produce a year? It looks lovely.

I think I have a shot at some hammered damascus ones for the same price that have some minor superficial surface scratches on them. If I can get them I'm doing it.

There may also be an opportunity for some 210s.

Also, HRC is 60+- not 61. Sorry...

Finally some of them are going to come with Goko's chestnut handles but the D wood ones came first.
