Having spent a couple weeks now with my Goku, I'm real happy with it. It's my first J-Knife so i have little to compare it to but It's performance over my existing Wustoff's is unbelievable. The only complaint is the plastic ferrule is pretty cheap looking. Probably will have to replace it.

I think it's a bit rude to refer to this thread as a post whore thread when this knife has clearly been an intro to many in the world of Japanese knives. we are encouraged to post about our experiences with knives. these knives are said to be seconds and because of that I dont see any problem with every person who purchased these knives to comment about them, even to comment and add to their comments, possibly a few times.
